Apple Thieves

On Saturday, Chris came over to help Bryan work downstairs in the basement (they started doing some framing work). I tried to get some things done around the house & the kids pretty much ran wild. (Big surprise for a Saturday??) Anyway, it was later in the afternoon & for a snack, I cut up 3 out of 4 BIG, red apples to share between about 5 kids. Adelaide wanted more apples & I told her that we were not going to cut the last apple... that we would save it for another day. Apparently, that was NOT acceptable to her. A little while later, this is what I discovered.
I guess I should just be thankful that my girls were sharing with each other & their friends. I just can't get over this look she gave me. I was not happy that she disobeyed, but how do you explain to this sweet, little face that you cannot steal food?

Well, as if that wasn't enough. They were done after only eating part of the apple. So, having left a half-eaten apple on the floor under the table, along comes Allison to find it. I thought it was so funny to see her chewing on such a big apple!
And of course, there was NO retrieving the apple from her without a fight. She was NOT happy. She's only 16 months (almost) & she's throwing herself on the floor and causing a fuss. I am in trouble with this one....

I didn't realize that C was in the mix. Sorry about that Thanks for feeding K and Chris lunch and giving us all snacks. YOU ROCK!

It SO was not C's fault in any form. There is NO doubt in my mind that it was all Adelaide.

That is quite possibly the cutest little apple thief ever! I wouldn't be able to mad at her either. And poor Allison. Taking away her apple, you have nerve woman! LOL As for temper tantrums, don't even get me started.

Chuck E. Cheese...Yay!??!

I decided to suck-it-up and take the family to Chuck E. Cheese for Allison's birthday. In AZ, the kids really liked going to Peter Piper Pizza for pizza & games. We've been here 2 years, and I've managed NOT to make it into Chuck E. Cheese. The kids have asked many times, but it just hasn't happened. So, I thought it would be a treat for them. A friend of mine gave me some coupons & I printed some off the Internet too. We got tons of tokens, pizza & soda for everyone. We had a pretty good time, except for 3 emotional meltdowns - ALL thanks to Mia. One meltdown because she wanted to play a specific game, another when we were down to our last 2 tokens (one for Adelaide & one for Mia). Her final tantrum was on the way out when she changed her mind at the last minute about which prize she wanted (after our turn was over). We'll have to think seriously about another birthday @ Chuck E. Cheese. - Mia says she wants to have her birthday there next month. W

Avery Updates

Avery is thriving, but I find myself busier than ever. Go figure. At her one month checkup, she weighed 8lb 14oz (born 6lb 15oz). Then at her 2 month checkup, she was 10lb 14oz. I don't think I've had a baby grow so fast. We'll have to see how long this keeps up. She's even close to sleeping through the night. Several nights a week, she sleeps for around 7 hours! None of my babies like bathtime . BIG Yawn! Baby bear in her carseat . Allison can't stand to leave her be. She loves her baby sister. Sometimes her eyes don't focus together....My poor little crazy-eyes. Happy baby! She's officially grown out of a few outfits like this one. Sad Baby. Trying to enjoy a litt le playtime. "Look at Mommy Baby!" My Little girls. Floor Dancing Avery needs her binky . Allison is a punk sometimes...She took Avery's sock off, so I made her put it back on. It's a lot harder than it looks.

OK, today is video Friday. I was looking through some video clips with the kids this morning & decided to share a couple of cute ones. This is one of my faves. - This is just typical for Adam when Amelia was born. He loved his little sis SO much. What happened? It's just funny to hear Amelia "whine" as her brother loves on her.
