Well, it's been almost a year since I've shown the blog a little love...Oh well, I think I'll just start from now. Things have gotten a little crazy around here in the last few months with us making plans to move from IL back to AZ. Our house here sold in 4 days! INSANE! After the quick sale, things became a little more definite & I ended up making a house-hunting trip to AZ. It was a crazy few days. I saw about 35 houses in 4 days. While I was in AZ, we actually offered on 2 different houses. The first one, we were just too late. The second, however went around a little. We offered, heard back that they had other offers, and RE-offered. All this time, the sellers were on vacation & their realtor was trying desperately to reach them. Well, they came home to 3 offers on their home (we were the best), rejected the offers, and pulled the house off the market. JERKS! Either they weren't serious or they think they can get MORE if they wait a little. On my last day,...

We had a great time in sunny, warm Arizona for Christmas. We stayed with Bryan's brother, Alan, and his family. It was nice to spend time with them, because I feel like we sometimes don't get to see them as much. At some point, we had to go to see Grandma's new "puppy". First, the back-story...My BIL (brother in law), while living at home, got a DOG. This dog is a bloodhound named Jackpot. Well, Jackpot stayed @ my MIL's house when her son's moved out. Jackpot is a full-grown blood hound & quite big. I guess the plan is to move him after my BIL puts grass in his backyard. In the meantime, my MIL decided that Jackpot was lonely & needed a friend...Enter Roxy, her "puppy". She really is still a puppy at only 4 months, but as you can see, she's already a good size - Especially for my scaredy -cat little girls. Allison, however, seems to be an animal lover. She loved seeing the dog, and was only concerned that Roxy wanted her candy cane...

I know. I'm a loser, slacker blogger person. I've been home for almost 2 weeks & I haven't blogged about my trip to AZ. I could say that I've been resting & recovering from vacation. The truth? Just lazy, I guess. Anyway, the flight was OK. We flew from Peoria to Mesa on Allegiant Airline. I found tickets on Wednesday, June 3rd for $29 to Mesa. Crazy, I know. Our flight home was only $79, so I ended up bringing the girls with me. Adam & Amelia were really good on the flight. Adam listened to his mp3 player & Mia played her vsmile or listened to my mp3. Adelaide & Allison, however, had ants in their pants. They were up, down & all around. Luckily (kind of?), we were all the way in the back by the lavatory, so the multiple trips were no big deal. Adelaide fell asleep for about the last 20 minutes of the flight & Allison faded quickly after that. Finally, right? Whatever! Then they were grouchy when I had to wake them up.
